October News!

We hope this finds you all well.

Things at the Club continue to improve.

Plans are in place to restore and/or replace the flooring in the Lounge, President's Room and Century Room.  We are determined to have all of our Club spaces improved before our 125th Anniversary next year.

We need your support! We are close to 30% of our goal to raise $125,000 for our 125th Anniversary.  These donations will be used to make capital improvements that will make the Club more comfortable for everyone.

Please consider a contribution HERE!

Becky Heindorf will be at the Club the following days and times to hand out membership cards.
Please try to stop in and get your new card. You will also be able to pay your dues and have any questions answered in person. Becky is also always available by phone anytime at 315-863-0125. Also feel free to call Ted Ackerman anytime with questions or concerns at 315-491-4474.
If you are not available to pick up your card, it will be mailed to you once payment is received.

We are still looking for someone to help with custodial duties at the Club 3-5 days a week in the morning 6-9/10:00am.  Currently Ed "Beatle" Bailey, John "Pastimer of the Year"  Brown and Ted Ackerman are handling these duties and seem to be keeping up rather well. It turns out that Firefighters are pretty good at cleaning toilets.  Ted is enjoying this work but will happily pass the torch to anyone interested in taking on 1 day a week or more. This job can be paid or volunteer. Email us or contact Ted if interested at 491-4474.

Please welcome our Newest Members! Keep spreading the word!

In Memoriam : Bill Campbell : Member and Friend

We hope this finds you well.

In Memoriam: Bill Campbell

This week we mourn the loss of our longtime friend, member and employee, Bill Campbell.

If it weren't for Bill the Pastime AC could have closed years ago. He was able to keep the lights (and heat) on for his friends through the Clubs darkest days. There would not have been a revitalization without Bill. He served our Nation and our Club with strength and honor. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.
Services will be Wednesday 9/7 from 4-6 at Sears Middleton Jones Funeral Home: 209 N Main St N. Syracuse, NY.

Things at the Club continue to progress, Thanks to you.

Our shower and steam room renovation is complete and the feedback has been great.  We appreciate all the support we've received for this project.

If you were considering making a donation toward this renovation but wanted to see it happen first, we'd still like to accept your donation and use it to improve other parts of the Club!

The Golf Tournament was a success once again.  We were able to donate $1,000 to Ray Rinaldi for his after school boxing and education programs.  Congratulations to the winning team: Mike Corbett, Matt Corbett, Mike Hanley and Billy Lydon,  Thank you to everyone who participated.

Dues and Donations!!

If you haven't done so already, please pay your dues asap.
If you have questions about your invoice please call Becky at 315-863-0125.

Remember to turn in your $50 raffle ticket. We have more for sale at the bar if needed. Thanks!!

Your dues and your donations will help us continue to improve the Club!

Save the Rain!

We've been awarded a grant from Onondaga County for $92,700 to be used to capture rain water from our property. (Letter Attached) The grant will reimburse us for improvements we make to our exterior surfaces including parking lots, sidewalks and entryways.  This grant would only cover a portion of what will be needed to complete this project properly.  We will be looking for other grants and fundraising avenues to help come up with the rest.
